BRIDAL SHOWER RECAP

This weekend my amazing sisters, mom, and mother-in-law threw me the Bridal shower of my dreams! Everything was absolutely perfect. From the decor, to the games, and food…they nailed it. I’ve never had an event completely planned for me, so that was a nice new experience. Typically, I am the one who has to get there early, sweat my ass off and look like a wreck by the time the event actually starts lol. So having everything done for me was a gift in itself! It was also so nice to be able to celebrate my engagement and be showered by friends I haven’t been able to celebrate with. The event was small, but that just meant we were able to indulge in more delicious food + cocktails (because of course it was open bar!) I love how it felt more like a party than a traditional bridal shower. They planned it as a “sunset cocktails” type of event, which I loved. By the end of the night the staff was bringing out bottles of veuve clicquot + sparklers. Tell me that doesn’t sound like a good time?!

so here ere are all the details…

THE LOCATION

Astra is a rooftop bar and lounge in the heart of Wynwood. The exterior of the building itself is a work of art with bubble gum pink walls and a 3D butterfly mural. It is literally a pink paradise and every girls Instagram dream. The party was held on the rooftop, where they have beautiful twinkle lights and city views.

THE FOOD

The food was delicious. Their menu is composed of a variety of mediterranean dishes. For starters we had fried calamari, a cucumber and feta salad, and the yummiest burrata salad with a balsamic glaze. As the main course everyone got grilled chicken skewers with a side of pita bread, potatoes, and taziki sauce.

THE DECOR

The arched backdrop + signage was rented from Mr Kustoms

The flower arrangements were made by Fleur De Marsca

The chargers: Hobby Lobby

The cushions on the couches are all from HomeGoods.

MY OUTFIT

To say I’m obsessed with my dress is an understatement. I ordered it from Revolve back in July and unfortunately now it’s only available for preorder! I’m hoping it’ll come back soon for all my fellow brides to be because this dress definitely makes a statement. My train was a complete wreck by the end of the night…but it was all worth it! Also…can we talk about my shoes + earrings?!

they are both super affordable dupes for their VERY expensive cousins lol. My shoes are from Misguided and the style is inspired by the beautiful Mach and Mach heels. My earrings are also dupes for a very beautiful pair of Jennifer Behr earrings. I linked both the dupe + the OG below so you can compare ♥︎
