Obviously, we are all well aware of the current state of the world and how this invisible enemy is changing the way we live, socialize, and do just about anything. What’s happening in the world right now is huge. Although I like to keep things on my blog light + casual…I think this is an important topic to discuss. COVID-19 is changing the world right before our eyes. Sometimes it can be pretty scary (ngl) and other times it makes me really sad to even look at my planner and see all the things I was so excited for in the next few months…

The birth of my niece (early April )

Hospitals are not allowing any visitors, so we will have to meet her 3 days after she is born + even then, it will be difficult due to social distancing.

My nursing school pinning ceremony (April 28th)

My best friend’s wedding (May 2nd)

My Graduation (May 8th)

All of these milestone moments and things I worked SO hard for aren’t going to be celebrated in the ways I wished they could have…but those are just some of my personal + selfish thoughts. Of course, I know there are bigger problems in the world, and I am more than willing to reschedule and adapt to a “new normal” in order to stop the spread of this virus. I just wanted to show you guys that this virus is impacting EVERYONE.

People are losing their jobs, getting sick, and running out of money to support their families.

Which is why it is SO important that we all adhere to the social distancing rules so that we can get back to normal as soon as possible. I saw a meme the other day (I love all the coronavirus memes lol) and it said something like,

I feel like a kid in school who keeps losing recess time because a few other kids don’t follow the rules…

and it is so accurate! The sooner we really do this together…the sooner we can get back to our regularly scheduled programing.

…and because I want to leave this on a positive note, I thought I would share a few ways the virus has positively impacted our world:

  • It has put into perspective what really matters the most (health, family, stability, food, toilet paper…)
  • We are spending more quality time with our families (+ our pets!)
  • There is less pollution in the air
  • Finally, I feel like once this is all over, we will have a new appreciation for all the little luxuries we took for granted before. We will complain less + appreciate the little things like being able to go to school, the gym, church, the movies, and grocery shopping (without the paranoia!)

What are some ways COVID-19 has impacted your life?

Stay safe ♥︎

I think this Convid-19 quarantine was necessary. Of course my point of view. I think we had actually forgotten how much freedom is worth, being able to go out with out fear plus we have taken for granted the simple thing of taking our kids to the grocery store. It’s Lemonade time for my family and me. I’m learning how to homeschool my kids and make the best out of this.

Norah, thank you so much for sharing your feedback! This is affecting everyone, but the best thing we can do right now is stay positive + do our part by social distancing. I wish you the best of luck with your kids! Definitely make sure to check out the blog post I linked…she has great ideas for kids! Stay safe ♥︎
